देहरादून। प्रदेश के पर्यटन, धर्मस्व, संस्कृति, लोक निर्माण, सिंचाई, पंचायतीराज, ग्रामीण निर्माण एवं जलागम मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने कहा कि धामी सरकार ने मुख्यमंत्री घोषणा के तहत पौड़ी गढ़वाल के यमकेश्वर के अंतर्गत कौडियाल-व्यास घाट मोटर मार्ग पर 150 मीटर सिंगटाली पुल के निर्माण के लिए 57.12 करोड़ के प्रस्ताव को स्वीकृति प्रदान कर दी गई है। उन्होंने बताया कि यह पुल क्षेत्र के निवासियों और यात्रियों के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण संपर्क मार्ग साबित होगा। लम्बे समय से इस पुल के निर्माण की क्षेत्रवासी मांग कर रहे थे।
लोक निर्माण मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने कहा कि पुल के शीघ्रता से निर्माण के लिए अधिकारियों को आवश्यक निर्देश दे दिए गए हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि गंगा नदी पर बनने वाला सिंगटाली पुल गढ़वाल और कुमाऊं मंडलों को जोड़ने के अलावा दोनों मण्डलों की बीच की दूरी को कम करने और ईंधन की बचत भी करेगा। इस पुल के निर्माण से 35 से अधिक विधानसभा क्षेत्रों की 25 लाख से अधिक आबादी को सीधा लाभ होगा।
महाराज ने पिछले कई वर्षों से कुमाऊं को गढ़वाल से जोड़ने वाले सिंगटाली पुल के निर्माण की स्वीकृति मिलने पर मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि इस पुल के बनने के बाद देहरादून से रामनगर की दूरी लगभग 45 किमी कम हो जाएगी साथ ही द्वारीखाल, यमकेश्वर ब्लॉक गंगाघाटी क्षेत्र में पर्यटन की बयार बहेगी और रोजगार के रास्ते खुलेंगे।
